Story #5

A woman saw your poster at a doctor's office and contacted you for help with a ten-year history of drug use, including periods of abstinence. Over the past decade, she has struggled with addiction to various substances like MCAT, Methamphetamines, and most recently, Cocaine. This addiction significantly impacted her life and her children's lives, leading to their removal from her care.

The woman has attended rehab twice, once for 12 weeks and again for 4 weeks, but unfortunately, these programs haven't prevented relapses. Her lack of connections with others who abstain from drugs poses a challenge. While she's participated in online Narcotics Anonymous meetings, finding local support hasn't been successful.

Since working together, you've helped her identify and manage triggers to avoid relapse. She's maintained sobriety for several weeks now and remains determined to stay clean. The woman's family has also been affected by her drug use, with some instances of shared drug use. To address this and rebuild family connections, we are now working with two of her children.
